Wash Your Face Twice A Day

This tip is an obvious one. If you want to get rid of acne, you need to make sure your face is clean. As you read this, there are a copious amount of germs residing on your face, ready to dig deep into your pores and become acne. To prevent this, wash your face at least twice a day.

Use warm water, a mild soap, and a warm washcloth to bathe your face and get rid of the dust and germs that sit on your face. Do this when you wake up, and in the evening time. If you keep this regimen consistent, you should see great results and your skin will be healthier too.

There are creams and acne washes that work great as well. I will get into those systems later.

Stop Touching Your Face

The best way to prevent acne breakouts is to follow this simple rule: stop touching your face. In front of the computer is a very common spot for most people to rest their face on their hand. Were you just doing it? Most people probably are.

Try to pay attention to each time you raise your hand to touch your face. Every time you go to do it, stop for a second and think about all of the germs on your hand that you are now transferring to your face.  We are constantly moving our hands around, and they are constantly collecting germs.

I’ll run you through a quick scenario (it is a disgusting one!):

Say you go into a public restroom to urinate. Afterwards, you wash your hands to maintain your personal hygiene. However, not everyone thinks that way. Just before you go into the bathroom, a big burly guy walks out who did not wash his hands. And he just wiped himself. You go to grab the door handle with your hand and exit the restroom. Germs that came from that burly man’s buttocks and feces are now on your hand. You feel something itchy on your cheek, and you go to scratch it. With your hand.

You see where I am going with that scenario? Although we try to wash our hands as best as we can, we still cannot prevent germs from getting on our hands. So stop touching your face.
